Emily Wilensky, AMFT
Emily is in certified in CBT for Anxiety & OCD and has completed the clinical training program through the Center for Anxiety Training. Emily received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Institute at Northwestern University and her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Emily has extensive experience providing CBT based treatment to children, adolescents, and families with a variety of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, emotional expression and regulation, and family conflict.
Emily’s approach is client-centered, collaborative, and integrates interventions from various behavioral therapies as well as attachment theory and play therapy. She believes that her clients are the experts on their lives and aims to help them draw on their strengths to facilitate meaningful change and healing. Emily values building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients, and other important individuals in their lives, and uses her warmth and authenticity to create connections that help clients feel safe and supported in working towards their goals.
