Siobhan Carey, MSW

Siobhan is certified in CBT for Anxiety & OCD and has completed the extensive clinical training program through the Center for Anxiety Training. Siobhan received her Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University with a focus on Mental Health and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. Siobhan’s clinical background includes treating teenagers, young adults, and adults seeking relief from Anxiety, Depression, Panic Disorder, Trauma, Depression and related disorders. In addition, Siobhan has clinical expertise assisting clients in managing life transitions and relationship issues. Additionally, she is working towards a certification in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics which focuses on the impact of developmental trauma across a person’s lifespan. Lastly, Siobhan is a 500hr registered yoga teacher with extensive experience teaching Alignment-Based Yoga as well as Meditation and Mindfulness enhanced CBT.
In her clinical work, Siobhan aims to create a safe and brave space for clients to be seen and heard. Her approach is affirming and strengths-based, and she believes in collaborating with clients as they become experts in their lives. With tools like CBT, mindfulness, and a deep understanding of trauma, Siobhan helps clients examine their thoughts and behavior patterns, and identify opportunities for development. Siobhan has a unique background in athletics and yoga, and she offers clients space to explore their own mind-body connection in ways that feel meaningful to them. Ultimately, Siobhan seeks to provide her clients with the tools and resources to be able to navigate the inevitable ups and downs of life with strength and psychological flexibility.
