No parent whats to see their child suffer from the crippling effects of OCD. As they try and help their child, parents inadvertently begin accommodating the disorder and allowing it to take over both their life, and their child’s’. That is why one of the most vital pieces of combating OCD in children is their family, AKA “co-therapists.” Co-therapists will aid children in learning how to tolerate uncertainty, slowly expose children to their fears, and build a toolbox of coping skills for their child throughout the process.
