Adenike Cotton is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate who earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Human Development from Howard University. She later received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clark Atlanta University.
Adenike has experience working with adolescents and adults in individual, group, and family therapy settings. Her clinical background includes collegiate counseling and intensive outpatient care, where she has supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, major life transitions, and the LGBTQ population.
Adenike believes that effective therapy begins with a trusting, collaborative relationship where clients feel respected, heard, and supported. She provides evidence-based, culturally responsive care and integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Adenike recognizes that each person’s experiences, relationships, culture, values, and identities influence their mental health and healing. She strives to create an affirming, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore challenges openly and build on their strengths. She works collaboratively with each client to develop a personalized approach that aligns with their goals, values, and unique experiences.
Outside of work, Adenike enjoys hosting game nights, staying active, and exploring new hobbies.
