Susan Pragaspathy obtained her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School with a concentration in trauma. She also holds a Master of Education in Teaching from Aquinas College and a Bachelor of Arts in French, Fine Art, and Art History from Indiana University.
Susan has specialized training in treating OCD, including Harm OCD, through her work at Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in the Anxiety and OCD Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs. Susan is passionate about working with children, adolescents and adults. She is highly skilled in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and is passionate about helping clients navigate intrusive, ego-dystonic thoughts with compassion and evidence-based care. Susan works to reduce the shame often associated with these experiences, empowering her clients to find healing and reclaim their sense of self.
Susan’s warm and collaborative approach provides clients with a supportive space to tackle anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other challenges. She tailors treatment to each individual’s needs, fostering resilience and equipping clients with practical tools to live fuller, more value-driven lives.
Outside of her clinical work, Susan enjoys spending time with her family—including her furry family members—traveling, running, strength training, and exploring creative pursuits.
