Meet Sophie Troy, MSW

Sophie Troy
Virtual Wilmette

Sophie Troy is a dedicated therapist who earned her undergraduate degree in Gender and Women’s Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago and her Master of Social Work.

She specializes in treating anxiety (including sports anxiety), OCD, depression, and prolonged grief disorder using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Sophie is committed to a person-centered approach, creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard and seen. She strives to foster a warm, collaborative environment where clients can build on their strengths and pursue meaningful personal growth.

Outside of her clinical work, Sophie enjoys reading historical fiction, watching women’s soccer, and spending time with her partner and family. She also loves getting lost in a good TV show.

I like the connections made and the helpfulness of the suggestions, as well as the accommodability and personalization of sessions.
