Shelby (she/her) is a compassionate therapist who graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences, complemented by a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. Currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Shelby is dedicated to fostering meaningful change through collaboration with her clients.
With a strong background in working with children, adolescents, parents, and families, Shelby is passionate about helping clients achieve their personal goals. She specializes in supporting individuals across the lifespan struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, post-traumatic stress disorder, self-esteem issues, disordered eating, school anxiety, bullying, phobias, panic, and stress management. Her neurodiversity-affirming approach is informed by extensive clinical experience with ASD, Autism, ADHD and learning disabilities.
Shelby’s therapeutic style is characterized by collaboration, encouragement, patience, and non-judgment. She employs a client-centered approach while integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy.
Outside of her clinical work, Shelby enjoys embarking on new adventures, spending time at the beach with her puppy, and going for long-distance runs.
