Shelby (she/her) graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences, complemented by a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. Currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at DePaul University, Shelby is deeply committed to providing compassionate care to her clients.
Specializing in anxiety, self-esteem, disordered eating, neurodiversity, and depression, Shelby’s passion lies in helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with resilience and grace. Shelby employs a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques.
Shelby is dedicated to fostering collaborative relationships with children, adolescents, families, and adults, offering a therapeutic style that is both supportive and empowering. Shelby’s approach is marked by its collaborative nature, embodying qualities of encouragement, patience, and non-judgment. She firmly believes in the power of teamwork between client and therapist to facilitate meaningful change.
In her downtime, Shelby loves embarking on adventures to discover new corners of the world, enjoying quality time at the beach with her German Shepherd, and hitting the pavement for long-distance runs.
