Maria Serembytska, LSW, is a dedicated and compassionate clinician specializing in providing individualized, evidence-based care to support clients on their journey toward emotional well-being. Maria earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has completed her Master of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago.

Maria brings extensive experience working with individuals of all ages across a variety of settings, including The Douglas Center, EB Pediatric Resources, and Care For Real. She has honed her skills in CBT-based individual and group counseling, trauma-informed care, and emotional regulation. Maria uses a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to help clients develop the skills they need to navigate lifeโ€™s challenges.

Maria’s therapeutic style is built on collaboration, as she works closely with clients to explore their unique experiences, challenges, and aspirations. She focuses on creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment that encourages self-reflection, growth, and emotional resilience. Through a blend of compassion, active listening, and evidence-based techniques, she helps clients build healthier coping strategies, improve their relationships, and achieve their personal goals.

Outside of her Clinical work, Maria loves spending time with her cat, reading a book, puzzling, and binge watching a new show.
