Maria Serembytska, LSW, is a dedicated and compassionate clinician specializing in providing individualized, evidence-based care to support clients on their journey toward emotional well-being. Maria earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has completed her Master of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago.
Maria brings extensive experience working with individuals of all ages across a variety of settings, including The Douglas Center, EB Pediatric Resources, and Care For Real. She has honed her skills in CBT-based individual and group counseling, trauma-informed care, and emotional regulation. Maria uses a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to help clients develop the skills they need to navigate life’s challenges.
Maria’s therapeutic style is built on collaboration, as she works closely with clients to explore their unique experiences, challenges, and aspirations. She focuses on creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment that encourages self-reflection, growth, and emotional resilience. Through a blend of compassion, active listening, and evidence-based techniques, she helps clients build healthier coping strategies, improve their relationships, and achieve their personal goals.
Outside of her Clinical work, Maria loves spending time with her cat, reading a book, puzzling, and binge watching a new show.
