Lucas Prodromou graduated with a Masters in Social Work and a Bachelors in Psychology at Florida State University. Lucas is devoted to working with individuals maneuvering through their behavioral and emotional journey, utilizing a client-centered and holistic approach to aid individuals working through their Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Trauma, and Behavioral dysfunctions.
His approach is rooted in creating an approachable and warm environment, encouraging individuals in self-discovery and expressing themselves without fear of judgment. Equipped with a curious mindset and a passion to explore an individual’s story, Lucas’s goal is to create an environment where a client feels safe, seen, and heard, where growth and learning is facilitated and structured around the client’s goals.
Implementing evidence based-based treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as a framework for his sessions gives individuals a space to learn and implement the skills and tools needed to manage their symptoms. This along with developing a secure and authentic relationship with the client are what Lucas believes are crucial for effective therapy.
Outside of work, Lucas enjoys spending time in nature, live music, and cats, especially his tuxedo named Jarvis.
