As an Educational Consultant at Light On Anxiety, Judy Steven is dedicated to helping families set their children up for success in their educational journey. With over 30 years of experience in education, she brings a wealth of knowledge in classroom teaching, special education, and academic support strategies.
She began her career as a classroom teacher, working with primary and junior high students for 11 years before earning her M.S.ED. After taking time to focus on her family, she returned to education as a special education teacher, supporting students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborating with classroom teachers to ensure every child could succeed.
Her expertise extends beyond the classroom, having worked closely with the Superintendent of Special Education in Kansas to assist educators in developing compliant and effective IEPs. She has also been a key member of student improvement teams, partnering with parents and teachers to find solutions for children struggling academically or emotionally.
Judy firmly believes that every child has the potential to succeed when provided with the right support, and that school should be a place where students feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. She is thrilled to be part of Light On Anxiety, where she can help families navigate the educational system and empower children to reach their full potential.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, reading for pleasure, and traveling.
