Jess is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a specialization in Human Development from DePaul University with a minor in Sociology. Jess has clinical experience providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults, utilizing empirically supported treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play-based therapies.

Jess is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults to create meaningful, long-lasting change. She values creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to better understand their thoughts and behaviors and to apply the principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). By working collaboratively, Jess helps clients identify and engage in useful coping mechanisms to make positive changes in their lives, decrease anxiety and enhance wellbeing. Jess has a special interest in treating OCD, phobias, generalized/social anxiety, and depression.  Jess emphasizes the importance of involving parents in understanding their child’s needs to be able to best support them outside of sessions.
