Demi Panagakis, MSW, CADC

Demi specializes in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, and related disorders in children, adolescents and adults. Demi received her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago with a focus on mental health and a sub-specialization of Certified Alcohol and Drug Counseling. She completed her field placement at AMITA Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, where she performed both individual and group therapy for a wide range of clinical concerns such as OCD, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
Through her training, Demi utilizes evidence-based interventions including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to further her commitment to individualized treatment tailored to each client’s needs.
Demi uses humor, compassion and empathy to help empower and support her clients. Demi also has a love for animals and likes to incorporate animal therapy into her treatment upon request.
