I received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. Most of my work experiences involve helping children, adults, couples, and families manage difficult life transitions. I apply Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in most sessions. I encourage clients to consider mindfulness techniques, allowing us to explore how the mind and body are mutually responsive. My clinical experience includes Womenβs Health, PTSD/Trauma, Family Systems, Depression, Relationship Dynamics, ADHD, and Anxiety and related disorders. I have also conducted play therapy and evidence-based exposure therapy for children with Selective Mutism.
I believe in genuine respect for individuals and their natural systems. My person-centered approach motivates people to share their experiences without judgment. Being familiar with implicit biases and cross-cultural mentoring allows me to build a genuine therapeutic relationship with clients of different backgrounds. I believe that navigating family dynamics and family history are important to understanding ourselves. In my work, I find opportunities to examine stages of development, power, boundaries, and intimacy within relationships. My greatest desire is for each person to reach their full potential of happiness and peace.
