Meet Britney Blackmon,M.Ed., LPC

Naperville Virtual

Britney is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. She is passionate about supporting women, children, teens, and parents through life’s transitions, emotional challenges, and identity shifts.

Britney specializes in Women’s Health, Parenting Support, Child and Adolescent Therapy, Family Systems, Trauma/PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and Relationship Dynamics. She works closely with mothers navigating perinatal and postpartum concerns, as well as with children and teens struggling with emotional regulation, school stress, identity development, and family conflict.

Britney draws from Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while integrating mindfulness-based tools to help clients understand and soothe the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and bodies. She brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work, helping clients of all ages feel seen and supported.

With a person-centered, inclusive style, Britney creates a safe space for women and families to explore intergenerational patterns, cultural narratives, and the roles they’ve been handed—while discovering the freedom to rewrite their own. Her lived experiences as a mother and mentor across cultures deepen her ability to form authentic, trusting connections with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Outside of the therapy room, Britney enjoys creating art, listening to music, and going on bike rides with her three children.

Honestly, like most people, I’ve shopped around for therapists, and Britney has been the best I’ve worked with. She truly makes me feel seen and heard. She’s also developed a treatment plan that’s spot on, addressing areas I hadn’t even identified or articulated before. Her ability to pinpoint what I need to work on has been incredible.
