Cassius Harper earned both his graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling and his undergraduate degree in Psychological Sciences from the illustrious Xavier University of Louisiana. He is a warm, approachable clinician who is passionate about helping clients develop practical skills to manage life’s challenges and create meaningful change. Cassius works with individuals from diverse backgrounds and strives to provide culturally responsive care that respects each client’s unique experiences and perspectives.
Cassius takes a collaborative, goal-oriented approach to therapy, helping clients identify patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior that may be contributing to distress. Drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), he works with clients to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build effective coping strategies, and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult situations. He also incorporates elements of other evidence-based approaches when appropriate to meet each client’s individual needs.
Cassius believes therapy is most effective when clients feel supported, understood, and actively involved in the treatment process. Together, he and his clients establish clear goals and work toward measurable progress, empowering clients to build confidence, resilience, and lasting skills that can be applied outside of the therapy room.
