Emma Krug is a Certified Light On Anxiety Treatment Specialist who has worked in the mental health field for over five years across residential and outpatient settings serving children, adolescents, adults, and families. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan with a concentration in Interpersonal Practice and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Emma has particular interest and experience in working with OCD, anxiety disorders, trauma, attachment-related concerns, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, depression, and emotional dysregulation. Her clinical experience includes residential treatment settings for both children and adults, providing her with a strong foundation in supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health needs.
Emma takes a collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach to therapy. She believes that emotions serve important functions and that many of the patterns people struggle with today developed for understandable reasons within the context of their life experiences and relationships. Drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), she tailors treatment to each client’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.
Above all, Emma prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and believes that feeling understood is often the first step toward growth. She strives to create a space where clients can show up authentically, build insight, develop practical skills, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and aligned with what matters most to them.
