Before entering the clinical field, Eric served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan, and spent several years as an entrepreneur and business leader in the technology and real estate sectors.
Eric has experience working with individuals across the lifespan. He is particularly passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults navigating PTSD, self-esteem issues, as well as managing anxiety disorders. Eric also possesses a specialized clinical background in acute crisis intervention gained during his time at the Jesse Brown VA hospital’s inpatient psychiatry unit, where he worked with the most acute psychiatric challenges.
His therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Eric prioritizes a collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to build resilience and accountability. He believes in the importance of meeting clients where they are, using grounded and practical approaches to help them navigate life’s day-to-day stressors and challenges.
Eric is not only a clinician but a dedicated practitioner of the techniques he teaches. He consistently seeks out experiences that test his own fears and promote mindfulness, including a personal meditation practice spanning over 20 years. Outside of the office, Eric is a licensed pilot and licensed skydiver who enjoys exploring the world from new perspectives.
