Dr. Tony Gorrie, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with over twenty years of experience helping people make meaningful changes in their lives. Dr. Gorrie earned his doctoral degree from the APA-accredited clinical psychology program at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and has worked in a hospital setting, partial hospitalization & intensive outpatient programs, community mental health, and private practice. Dr. Gorrie practices from an integrative approach, incorporating elements from evidence-based practices including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based approaches. His collaborative approach is marked by compassion, warmth and humor, and he strives to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment in which individuals can make improvement and progress toward their goals. He helps individuals to better understand themselves, to become more skillful at regulating their emotions, and at engaging in effective behaviors.

Dr. Tony Gorrie works with individuals across the lifespan and is adept at helping people navigate struggles related to depression & other mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, phobias, trauma, relationship challenges, addiction & substance use, grief, sleep difficulties, and acute & chronic medical conditions.

Outside of work, Dr. Gorrie enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and their dog, reading, playing cards, and hiking. He’s visited over twenty five U.S. National Parks with his family, and hopes to see many more in the years to come.

I’m having an amazing, helpful and healing experience.
