Boram Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her ongoing interest in the intersection of art and psychology and its use in treating trauma, led her to complete an MA in Clinical psychology, Counseling Practice at Roosevelt University.
Boram works with children, adolescents and adults through a client centered approach which begins by creating an approachable, safe space that meets the client where they are. Boram’s integrative approach to therapy is solution focused, using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) through a developmental and trauma informed lens. Her clinical interests include but are not limited to anxiety, stress management, women’s health, mind-body connection, complex trauma and art expression.
Outside of her therapeutic work, Boram also teaches psychology at a community college. In her downtime, she maintains a work- life balance by focusing on physical health, exploring different art mediums, and spending time with her family and friends.
