Amber Moore
Naperville Virtual

Amber Moore is a Masters level clinician in the process of receiving her LPC and NCC. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education at Georgia Southern University with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Amber began her education at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical/Community Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Amber feels passionate about engaging in empowering, ethical, and effective clinical work to best honor the courage and vulnerability demonstrated by the clients who seek her support.

Amber holds experience in multiple settings working with children, adolescents, and adults. Her main areas of focus are working with individuals experiencing the impacts of traumatic life events, transitory stressors, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Specific Phobias, Generalized Anxiety, Depressive Disorders, and developmental transition. Her work is trauma informed and LGBTQIA+ affirming.

Amber approaches counseling with unconditional respect for each client’s unique lived experiences and journey that they will embark upon in counseling. She utilizes feminist informed Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention to serve her clients. Together, you and Amber will explore what a meaningful life looks like for you, increase your tolerance to distress, and build insight into your inherent self worth. Amber believes that human beings are capable of “doing hard things” meaning she believes that each and every one of her clients is capable of challenging themselves to grow in recovery.

Outside of the therapeutic space, Amber enjoys spending time outdoors by camping, fishing, hiking, and taking walks. She is a huge lover of kitties and has two of her own. Connection, integrity, and adventure are values she lives by, and she hopes to help you discover what life looks like when living in alignment with yours!

Strong attention to my needs and providing a safe space to help through my struggles.
