Meet Eric Tseng, MSW, MA

Eric Tseng
Naperville Virtual

Eric Tseng earned his Master of Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University. Before becoming a therapist, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan, and later built a career as an entrepreneur and business leader. His diverse background helps him connect with children, teens, and adults facing life’s challenges.

Eric works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, PTSD, low self-esteem, and life transitions. He enjoys helping children and teens build confidence, manage big emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and strengthen relationships. He also has a special interest in supporting veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, and others in high-stress careers.

Eric’s approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. He primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring treatment to each client’s age, strengths, and goals.

Eric believes therapy should be a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, build resilience, and gain the confidence to face life’s challenges. Outside of work, he has maintained a meditation practice for more than 20 years and enjoys flying as a licensed pilot and skydiving as a licensed skydiver.

I appreciate working with my therapist and the care he takes in my treatment.
