Meet Sarah Miklius, LSW

Sarah Miklius
Arlington Heights Virtual

Sarah Miklius is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who is passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Theology and her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.

Sarah believes that healing begins in a space where clients feel safe to be their most authentic selves. She strives to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients know they do not have to face life’s difficulties alone. Sarah is passionate about providing trauma-informed care and has earned certification in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), a neuroscience-informed approach to understanding the impact of trauma and promoting healing. She integrates evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a compassionate, individualized approach to help clients build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and foster lasting growth.

Sarah enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, grief and loss, life transitions, spiritual concerns, and religious trauma. She is passionate about helping clients strengthen their coping skills, reconnect with their values, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and authentic.

Outside of the therapy office, Sarah enjoys lifting weights, taking long walks with her dog, Millie, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and caring for her five backyard chickens.

Caring, compassionate and realistic care.
