Lauren Miller earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School and her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Western Illinois University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
Lauren takes a warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. She helps clients feel comfortable being themselves while exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy, Lauren works with clients to develop practical strategies for managing anxiety, building confidence, and navigating life’s challenges. She believes therapy can include humor, curiosity, honest conversations, and celebrating small victories.
After spending eight years living in Berlin and working with refugees, Lauren values the diverse backgrounds and experiences clients bring to therapy. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, coffee with friends, rewatching favorite TV shows, and spending time with her dog, Suzi, who came home with her from Germany.
