Anima Dubey holds a Master of Social Work degree and an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in School Social Work. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and families, providing a compassionate, collaborative, and individualized approach to therapy that honors each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Drawing on her experience in clinical and school-based social work, Anima has supported individuals and families through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. She has extensive experience providing individual and group counseling, social-emotional skill development, behavioral interventions, parent and caregiver support, crisis intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote meaningful, lasting change.
Anima’s therapeutic style is warm, genuine, and nonjudgmental. She believes that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing when provided with the right support and tools. She utilizes evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, strengths-based therapy, person-in-environment, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, regulate emotions, improve relationships, build resilience, and create lasting positive change.
Having lived in India, Vancouver, Canada, and now the United States, Anima brings a broad multicultural perspective to her work. As an immigrant who has experienced the challenges of adapting to a new country, culture, and way of life, she understands many of the emotional and practical transitions individuals and families may face. She speaks multiple languages and values creating an inclusive, culturally responsive environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel understood, respected, and empowered.
Anima is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and culturally responsive space where clients of all ages feel heard, respected, and valued. She works collaboratively with each client to identify meaningful goals and develop practical strategies that foster confidence, emotional well-being, and personal growth. Her goal is to help every client build on their strengths, overcome life’s challenges, and become the healthiest and most authentic version of themselves.
When she is not working, Anima enjoys spending time in nature. She can often be found exploring forest preserves, running, birdwatching, hiking, or traveling. These experiences help her stay grounded, curious, and connected—qualities she brings into her work as she supports clients on their own journeys toward healing and growth.
