Aaron Nellessen earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Social Work from Aurora University. He is a compassionate and collaborative therapist with a passion for supporting clients of all ages and backgrounds. Aaron provides a space where the individual can feel heard, understood, and accepted, while developing greater insight into themselves and their experiences.
Aaron’s therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Positive Psychology and Mindfulness practices. Tailoring these models to each person’s unique needs, Aaron helps clients explore patterns of thinking and behavior to strengthen coping skills, build self-awareness and identify practical, measurable steps toward their goals.
Aaron values the opportunity to build genuine, trusting relationships with his clients and to meet each person with curiosity, compassion and without judgement.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoys spending time with his daughter and woodworking.
