Meet Lauren Miller, MA

Lauren Miller
Arlington Heights Virtual

Lauren Miller earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School and her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Western Illinois University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, interpersonal difficulties, and life transitions.

Lauren believes that therapy should be a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. She approaches each client with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

Lauren draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy. She enjoys helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools they can use in their everyday lives. She is especially interested in helping clients navigate anxiety while building confidence, self-understanding, and a greater sense of control in their lives.

Outside of the therapy room, Lauren enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, grabbing coffee with friends, rewatching her favorite TV shows, and spending time with her family and pets.

Compared to past therapy experiences, I was pleasantly surprised with how action oriented the approach is!
