Galilea Cortes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies from North Central College in Naperville and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in Chicago. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) from Adler University. 

Galilea has experience working with children from 5 to 13 years utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to teach and reinforce target skills, such as communication, social interaction, and daily living skills. More recently, she completed a one-year practicum experience at Plainfield Counseling Center as a diagnostic extern conducting intake interviews, administering psychological assessments and integrating and conceptualizing test results and interview findings to produce clinically useful reports. 

Galilea is dedicated to providing a warm and supportive environment for clients to feel comfortable and has found a true passion in helping individuals with their mental health journey. When not in class, practicum, or work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading romance or thriller novels, and trying new restaurants.
