Angela Gonyon, LSW, is a licensed Social Worker who earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience from Grand Valley State University and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Angela completed her clinical internship at the DBT Institute of Michigan, where she received comprehensive training in and provided adherent dialectical behavioral therapy across multiple levels of care.
Angela is a trauma-informed, strengths-based clinician committed to providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered. She integrates a combination of DBT, ACT, and CBT to best support clients’ needs. Angela supports clients through their healing journey by empowering them to engage in meaningful self-reflection and equipping them with tools to navigate life challenges and stressors. Angela’s goal is to work with individuals, couples, and families to empower them to build lives that are fulfilling and authentic by fostering meaningful change, not only within themselves but also within their relationships, environments, and communities.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys being outdoors, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
