Claire Cerone is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work, with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families, from Boston College. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago.
Claire is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing a strengths-based, client-centered approach. She integrates evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to meet each client’s unique goals. She has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), grief, and life transitions, equipping them with practical skills to navigate life’s challenges.
Before joining Light On Anxiety, Claire gained experience supporting high-risk youth in educational settings, including a therapeutic high school. She has also worked in outpatient mental health services, providing counseling and support to individuals navigating emotional and behavioral concerns. In addition, Claire worked in a behavioral intervention preschool, helping young children develop emotional regulation, social skills, and positive behavioral strategies through early intervention and play-based approaches.
Claire seeks to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel welcomed and understood.
