Shira Lichtenstein, MSW
Shira is a certified CBT for Anxiety & OCD specialist and has completed the clinical training program through the Center for Anxiety Training. Shira received her Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Chicago. In addition, Shira completed a Master’s program in psychology at The Chicago School for Professional Psychology, with a concentration in children and adolescents. Shira also received advanced training through the Contextual Behavior Therapy Fellowship at the University of Chicago. Shira’s background includes working with families, schools, children and adolescents. Shira specializes in the provision of CBT and DBT treatment for those struggling with anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, ADHD, and other related disorders. She uses a collaborative treatment approach and different behavioral therapies to help her clients develop skills to live more effective and meaningful lives. Shira believes that the therapeutic relationship is at the core of supporting clients to reach their goals. She is passionate about mental health issues and strongly believes that given the right tools and resources, anyone can improve their mental health.
