Anxiety has a tendency to tell us something is wrong with us, we are flawed, we should focus on our mistakes, we are trapped… This is where the need for self-love comes into play. I love making mindfulness and self compassion apart of my sessions. When we take a break from the negative thought spiral and sit with what is here in the moment, we find that we have the ability to befriend our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. The more space we can make for every part of us, the more we know that everything belongs. This leads to acceptance which guides us along to journey to self-care and self love.
