Tourettic OCD and Tic Disorder
Tourettic OCD and Tic Disorder
Tourettic OCD and Tic Disorder consists of sudden, repetitive, motor movements or phonic productions (tics) that are often perceived as involuntary but which are sometimes accompanied by premonitory sensory urges.
- Repeated behaviors that one feels compelled to engage in such as eye blinking, neck jerking, shoulder shrugging, or throat clearing, facial gestures, smelling objects, touching, or repeating words or phrases out of context.
- Tics cause psychological and emotional distress, and/or impairment in functioning. Feared consequence is that one will continue to feel indefinitely anxious or uncomfortable if tic is not performed.
