Agoraphobia
Agoraphobia involves intense fear and anxiety to a real or anticipated place or situation where escape might be difficult.
Symptoms include:
- Difficulty leaving familiar and comfortable environments, particularly home
- Fear of public places (perceiving them as too open, crowded or dangerous)
- Extreme distress leads to panic attack
- Symptoms cause clinically significant emotional distress and/or functional impairment
