Shira Lichtenstein, LSW
Shira is a certified CBT and OCD Specialist and has completed the extensive clinical training program through the Center for Anxiety Training. In addition, Shira has successfully completed an advanced training program in CBT-I (CBT for Insomnia). Shira received her Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Chicago. In addition, Shira completed a Master’s program in psychology at The Chicago School for Professional Psychology, with a concentration in children and adolescents. Shira also received advanced training through the Contextual Behavior Therapy Fellowship at the University of Chicago. Shira’s background includes working with families, schools, children and adolescents. Shira specializes in the provision of CBT, ERP and DBT treatment for those struggling with Anxiety, OCD, Panic Disorder, Depression, ADHD, Executive Functioning Disorders, BFRBs and other related disorders. She uses a collaborative treatment approach utilizing mindfulness techniques and different behavioral therapies to help her clients develop skills to live more effective and meaningful lives. Shira believes that the therapeutic relationship is at the core of supporting clients to reach their goals. She is passionate about mental health issues and strongly believes that given the right tools and resources, anyone can improve their mental health.
