Meet Sara Speier, MSW

Sara earned her Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Sara’s clinical work treating OCD, career anxiety, LGBTQ, trauma, PTSD, all types of anxiety, and depression reflects her deep understanding of mental health struggles and her commitment to making a difference in people’s lives. In addition, Sara has advanced training in helping clients with ADHD and executive functioning challenges structure their lives, develop organization strategies, and build the skills needed to manage daily tasks and responsibilities with greater ease. In addition, Sara is passionate about helping clients navigate career-related challenges, guiding them through moments of self-doubt and indecision, and helping them overcome career anxiety. She supports individuals in building confidence, clarifying goals, and cultivating the mindset needed to thrive in their professional journeys.

Sara has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and parents, ensuring that each member of the family receives the personalized support they need to thrive. She integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy (NT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), into her sessions, ensuring that each client receives comprehensive and effective treatment tailored to their unique needs.

Sara strives to create a safe and supportive space. She empowers clients to navigate life’s challenges, cultivate resilience, and embrace meaningful change, and is excited to share her expertise and passion for providing personalized care and support to Light On Anxiety clients.
