Kaitlin Deckard, MSW
Ravenswood Virtual

Kaitlin Deckard is a compassionate mental health professional with a deep-rooted commitment to empowering individuals across the lifespan. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work, as well as a Master of Social Work from Indiana University.

With a rich background spanning inpatient, outpatient, and school-based settings, Kaitlin brings a wealth of experience in supporting adults, adolescents, and children on their therapeutic journeys. She values the importance of establishing trust and connection with her clients, cultivating a warm and inviting atmosphere where they feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

In her practice, Kaitlin integrates evidence-based approaches, with a particular emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles and trauma-informed care. She believes in the power of collaboration and strength-based interventions, working alongside clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs and goals. Kailin enjoys working with all types of anxiety, depression, perfectionism, LGBTQ, OCD, Agoraphobia, panic disorders, and substance use.

Kaitlin’s therapeutic toolkit incorporates mindfulness, art, music, and various forms of expression to enrich the therapeutic process. She takes a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the interconnectedness of the heart, body, and mind, and creating space for clients to nourish this connection.

I really like Kaitlin’s approach and the potential to bring art and music into the process, and she seems so genuine. Also like the “no pressure” approach where you can update who you see without repercussion – it seems like they have my best interest at heart which is so appreciated.
