Emily Lambert, LPC

Emily completed her Masters in Counseling from Northwestern University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from DePaul University. Emily previously served as in intake specialist for a large, regional mental health treatment center that specializes in residential treatment for OCD and related disorders, partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient programing (IOP) for OCD, anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, and PTSD. Emily has advanced training in using CBT for the treatment of anxiety and related disorders.
Emily uses a foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and psychodynamic therapeutic strategies to help clients identify and address unhelpful, self-defeating thoughts and behavioral patterns and to improve how they work, love, and play. Through warmth and trust, Emily collaborates with her clients to facilitate positive change and develop strategies to meet goals of well-being. While building upon clients’ strengths and resiliency, she provides the tools to improve feelings about self, improve relationships, and improve ability to cope with stress.
