Dylan Saks, CRC
Dylan is certified in CBT for Anxiety & OCD and has completed the extensive clinical training program through the Center for Anxiety Training. Dylan is also a certified rehabilitation counselor and licensed professional counselor. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of California Berkeley where he studied the relationship between perception and underlying neurochemistry. He later attended Illinois Institute of Technology for his clinical graduate training in mental health and rehabilitation counseling with a focus on chronic conditions and disabilities. Dylan’s clinical experience entails offering empirically supported treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and mindfulness-based techniques to assist clients seeking freedom from OCD, Anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, substance use, and chronic illness. Dylan enjoys working with clients across the life space and is available to work with children, adolescents and adults.
Dylan believes in the importance of the therapeutic process in increasing quality of life. He encourages people to harness their moments of resiliency and recognize their ability to persist. He emphasizes a nonjudgmental compassionate connection to foster internal growth. Dylan understands that change is an ongoing process of learning, doing, committing, and recommitting. Dylan has worked in government and community mental health settings helping a diverse group of people to live more autonomous satisfying lives.
