Dr. Anika Fonson

Dr. Fonson completed her undergraduate degree at Loyola University where she earned a B.A. in Education with a concentration in Psychology. Dr. Fonson earned a Master’s Degree at American College of Education and earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. She has a wide range of experience with Social Emotional Learning (S.E.L.) due to her background in psychology and her 26 years of teaching experience. Her areas of expertise include treating anxiety and related disorders, depression and ADHD.
Dr. Fonson’s therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. She provides empathy, compassion and emotional support while creating a treatment plan that is specific to the needs of each client, and enjoys helping clients overcome life’s different challenges.
