Dr. Mitchell is a Certified Light On Anxiety Treatment Specialist who earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in clinical child psychology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. With a strong grounding in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she has provided services in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and community clinics. Dr. Mitchell’s clinical passions are working with anxiety, OCD, depression, and the complicated ways these conditions can interact. She also enjoys working with parents to help them create change from the outside.
Dr. Mitchell brings openness, warmth, and authenticity to her client relationships. She tailors therapeutic interventions to meet each client’s needs and developmental level while providing action-oriented treatment. She strives to keep clients accountable for change and for implementing therapeutic concepts into their everyday lives.
Outside of the therapy room, Dr. Mitchell enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and exploring new playgrounds on the North Shore with her three children.
