Chelsea Vlcek, LPC

Chelsea is a Certified Light on Anxiety Treatment Specialist who received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Augustana College and knew immediately that her passion was helping people become their best self and wanted to pursue a career as a professional therapist. She graduated with her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University in Chicago where she was trained through a lens of social justice and advocacy. Chelsea also has obtained her National Counselor Certificate. During her internship, she was introduced to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness as additional therapeutic modalities. She believes strongly in the connection of the brain to the overall health and wellness in the body.
Since receiving her Masters, Chelsea has had time as a stay at home parent, where she has been able to study yoga philosophy and become a certified yoga instructor. Her approach to counseling is collaborative, eclectic, and tailored to individual client needs. Chelsea believes that growth occurs through learning, for both the client and the therapist. Chelsea has seen firsthand the success and impact that CBT can have on anxiety-related experiences, and is very excited to be part of the Light On Anxiety team to support her clients through their journey.
