Caroline Strauss, LSW

Caroline, a dedicated clinician with a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a certificate in Jewish communal leadership, brings a wealth of experience to our clinical team. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University, Caroline has a diverse background in community mental health and private practice.
With a specialization in treating OCD and related disorders, Caroline is well-versed in various therapeutic approaches. She has advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her passion lies in supporting individuals dealing with anxiety and distressing OCD themes, including harm, sexual, violence, and scrupulosity and assisting them in moving from fear and self judgment to freedom from intrusive thoughts.
Caroline’s expertise extends to working with kids, teens, and their parents, fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic environment. She also addresses phobias and body-focused repetitive behaviors such as trichotillomania and skin picking. Through her tailored sessions, Caroline strives to empower clients, guiding them towards relief and the ability to lead fulfilling lives.
In addition to her clinical work, Caroline is committed to creating a more accessible field of mental health. Outside of her professional endeavors, Caroline finds joy in reading, crocheting, cooking, swimming, and exploring the city.
