Aveen Sharma is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree from Adler School of Psychology. Aveen received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. He employs a Cognitive Behavioral approach coupled with an emphasis on Humanism to provide clients with skills to manage their anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. In his prior experience, Aveen served as a volunteer at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago. There he worked with Veterans seeking Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse services. Aveen also has experience working with children and adolescents seeking to improve their overall functioning and decrease reliance on ineffective coping behaviors. Aveen’s training and experience enables him to aid clients in shifting from a reactive approach to a proactive problem solving model.
