Annie Gleason, LPC, CCATP

Annie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), having completed the extensive CBT based Clinical Anxiety Treatment Program. Annie graduated from Loyola University Chicago with her Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology with a minor in Dance from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. Before joining Light on Anxiety, Annie worked at the Presence Saint Joseph Hospital Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Connections South Campus Therapeutic Day School. Annie has advanced training in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) based treatment to children, adolescence, and adults experiencing symptoms related to OCD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, Bipolar Disorder, and trauma.
Annie uses a solution-focused approach in hopes to help individuals define their values and goals as well as empower them to achieve these things through action. Additionally, she has a special interest in helping individuals cultivate an awareness of their mind-body connection through mindfulness techniques, as she believes that this is essential when creating a holistic approach to treatment. Annie is passionate about working collaboratively with individuals by using humor and warmth to provide them with a safe and affirming space.
