Sara’s counseling career follows decades of wide-ranging experiences in marketing, television production, magazine publishing, and raising her young family. Her approach is warm, collaborative and supportive as she tailors each session to the specific needs of the individual client. Her personalized clinical treatment approach includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness techniques, exposure therapy, and psycho-education. Sara has also received extensive training to become a certified clinical anxiety treatment professional (CCATP).
Sara develops strong therapeutic relationships with her clients to encourage effective treatment and personal growth. Her clinical experience includes work at a therapeutic day school ― counseling students struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other stress-related disorders. Sara helps adolescents and adults successfully manage their difficult thoughts while building emotional regulation, adaptive coping skills, and stress-management strategies. She strives to provide the most welcoming and comfortable atmosphere possible to support the client in reaching their therapeutic goals.
Sara received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University and her B.A. in Print Journalism from The American University in Washington, DC.
