Danielle Shaw, Masters in Clinical Counseling

Danielle is a certified CBT for Anxiety and OCD specialist and has completed the clinical training program through the Center for Anxiety Training. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Rosalind Franklin University and her Bachelors in Psychology from Lake Forest College. Danielle completed her clinical internship at a Rogers Behavioral Health Center that specializes in evidence based treatment for OCD, anxiety and related disorders at the intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization level. Here, she gained experience working with clients by providing individual and group therapy. Danielle has advanced training in CBT and ERP based treatment for OCD, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. She also led skill groups centered on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, middle path, and interpersonal effectiveness
Danielle believes that, with collaboration and guidance, individuals can implement positive change in their lives. She strives to establish a warm, genuine therapeutic relationship with clients as well as provide a safe space in order to increase awareness of concerns and needs.
